"It feels good knowing that you touched something going to outer space." Todd leads the fabrics shift with a relentless focus on quality and protocol, ensuring every product meets the highest standards.
"Knowing this critial product will be carrying human life outside of our atmosphere." Paul meticulously maintains machinery, following prints and procedures to keep production running flawlessly.
"The incredible amount of pride, time, skill and teamwork that goes into this process." Robert ensures rigorous testing of materials for SRB nozzles and the Orion Launch Board system, carrying forward a legacy since 1959.
"It was the ultimate reward… working on these materials for future missions." Austin manages the carbon cloth process from start to finish, and saw the impact firsthand at the Artemis II launch.
The Fostoria team knows their work matters. "We love what we do," says Todd. Paul adds: "We are fulfilling JFK's commitment of further lunar exploration." For Robert, it's about continuing the Apollo legacy: "Artemis will establish a lunar economy on the Moon."
Precision is non-negotiable. "We do everything by the letter of the law," Todd explains. Paul follows "proper procedures" in every repair. And Austin highlights the collaboration across site teams to ensure every batch meets exacting aerospace specifications.
